Grange-over-Sands is a small Edwardian seaside resort with a promenade, shops, fish and chips, take-aways, pub meals, tennis courts, a park and swimming pools.
Nearby is Cartmel with its racecourse, Priory, and quaint streets, and Holker Hall with its motor museum.
The heart of the Lake District is easily accessible by car with the southern end of Lake Windermere only 5 miles away.
There are many good walks close by and maps and guide books are available for guests to use for these, and for the rest of the National Park.
